Walked by a man I kinda know today who I don't see usually but he makes me nervous. It made me sad. Some people. I am so uncomfortable in this town. Everything in life is so disappointing. Sometimes I don't hear from my friends for a while. And I wonder if they're dead. They're out traveling & stuff. Probably dead. I dawdle around the sidewalks feeling bad in my body, sniffing the bummer memories that this town taunts me with. Everywhere is baggage, so many drags it's unbearable. I want to Travel to the American Desert where I can look around with wonder & the red dirt is magic. I go home and smell it in an envelope. Friends probably dead. Family is dead. Soul feeling dead. There's not a single key on my accordion that can bring any of that back. I'm drowning in the bellows.

I want everyone to hear this album. It's the first time in almost ten years I've felt that way — the first time I've ever put out a record so personal it feels dangerous to show it to anyone at all. Citizen Scientist
The drum set shakes a flood of delay, synth loops flutter inside your hypnosis. A half hour on Earth spent flickering on and off. You're going to give me serotonin syndrome with your eyes. Citizen Scientist
Post-punk from the height of my aimless teenage trans angst. There's nothing more strange than your hometown and the body you grew up in. Let's take a bath in the middle of the day. Citizen Scientist
This Chicago (where else?) post-rock group builds wafting atmospheric ambient out of slow drums and a shimmering churn of droning guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 30, 2024
